When I think of paradise, Dinarobin Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa in Mauritius instantly comes to mind. It’s more than just a luxury resort – it’s an experience that stays with you long after your holiday ends. Having visited Dinarobin Beachcomber, I can confidently say it’s one of those rare places that ticks every box on a dream destination list.
Nestled at the foot of the iconic Le Morne mountain (a UNESCO World Heritage Site!), Dinarobin Beachcomber is surrounded by jaw-dropping natural beauty. The turquoise waters of the lagoon stretch endlessly, and the lush tropical gardens give you the feeling of being immersed in nature. Everywhere you look, it’s postcard perfect. Honestly, I spent half my time staring at the views – they’re that good!
Let’s talk about suites. The suites at Dinarobin Beachcomber are spacious, elegantly designed, and with the attention to detail that makes you feel like royalty. I always have my best sleep here. Each crescent of suites has a pool, with the 6th crescent dedicated to adults-only.
If you’re like me and love good food, you’re in for a treat. Dinarobin Beachcomber’s restaurants are a culinary journey through the best of Mauritian, French, and international cuisines. When you stay at Dinarobin Beachcomber, you can also dine at all restaurants at neighbouring Paradis Beachcomber. My absolute favourite is La Ravanne – where you can feast on authentic Mauritian dishes right by the beach, under the stars. Oh, and the breakfast buffet at L’Harmonie is amazing! Let’s just say I’m still dreaming about the fresh tropical fruit and warm pastries.
One of my favourite memories from Dinarobin Beachcomber was enjoying a sunset cocktail at La Butik Bar. Picture this: the sky is painted in hues of orange, pink, and purple, the sound of waves gently breaking in the background, and a perfectly crafted mojito in hand. The bar is relaxed and makes it the ideal spot to enjoy at the end of a wonderful day. Watching the sun dip below the horizon felt like pure magic, and a moment I’ll never forget.
One of Dinarobin Beachcomber’s biggest draws is its incredible spa. The Spa is tucked away in a tranquil corner of the resort, and the moment you step in, you feel the stress melt away. From indulgent massages to rejuvenating facials, the treatments here are next level. What makes it even more special is the breathtaking view of Le Morne. Honestly, it's impressive. As I lounged post-treatment, gazing at the majestic silhouette of the mountain, I felt completely at peace.
The gym is another highlight. It’s not just any gym – it offers a direct view of Le Morne. I love running on the treadmill, enjoying the view while listening to Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” while I try to keep up a good pace. While Dinarobin is perfect for kicking back and relaxing, I also love the complimentary water sports at the sister hotel, Paradis Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa. I’ve always wanted to try paddle boarding, but I realised it is not as easy as it looks. I figured I would be a pro straight off, but that was not the case. I didn’t get the chance, but I would be keen to try a round of golf at the 18-hole Paradis Golf Course, it looks impressive. Getting around both resorts is very easy. There is a shuttle bus that runs reception to reception every 15 minutes. I personally love hiring a bike to explore the grounds.
What really sets Dinarobin Beachcomber apart is the level of service. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. From the warm welcome at check-in to the little touches throughout your stay, you can tell they genuinely care about making your holiday special. I lost count of how many times I caught myself thinking, “Wow, they’ve thought of everything!”
I love that Dinarobin Beachcomber is perfect for couples, families, friends or even solo travellers. It means I can share my experience with my loved ones or on my own. For something a little more special, couples can enjoy the adult-only crescent six. It is a peaceful retreat for those looking for extra serenity. While staying as a family, there are plenty of activities to enjoy, whether at the children's club or the water sports.
The hardest part is leaving! If you haven’t guessed by now, I’m completely in love with Dinarobin Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa. It’s one of those places where you’ll find yourself planning your return trip before you’ve even left. For me, it’s not just a resort; it’s a sanctuary, an escape, and a place where unforgettable memories are made.
