From June 1st you’ll be able to book Premium Economy on A380 flights for travel from August 1st with Emirates out of London Heathrow to Dubai. The new cabin class offers luxurious seats, more legroom and a service unmatched in the industry. The cream-coloured leather seats have a generous seat pitch of 40inches, are 19.5inches wide and recline 8 inches. The seats also offer calf rests and footrests as well as in-seat charging points and a side cocktail table.
Onboard you’ll receive a welcome drink in fine glassware, you’ll enjoy generous meals with seasonal ingredients, all served with a selection of beverages including premium wines and a sparkling Chandon wine. Each seat has a 13.3 inch screen on which to enjoy an unmatched array of music, movies and TV.
Currently there are six A380s equipped with Premium Economy, but from November, Emirates will begin retrofitting a further 67 A380s and 53 Boeing 777s with Premium Economy cabins. On a four class Emirates A380, the Premium Economy cabin is located at the front of the main deck with 56 seats in a 2-4-2 configuration. On a Boeing 777, 24 Premium Economy seats will be installed in a dedicated cabin between Business and Economy.
British Airways
British Airways offers 2 direct flights a day into Dubai from London Heathrow and 3 direct flights during the winter. There is a choice of the following cabins: Economy, World Traveller Plus, Club and First Class.
