Huvafen Fushi Maldives is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World and is set in the North Malé, away from the regular boat and seaplane transfer path.  The resort offers a laid back, five-star, luxury island sanctuary. Each of the luxurious 44 bungalows or pavilions comes with a plunge pool, private butler and is set on the beach or over-water.

The delicious dining choice is served at a selection of four restaurants, and the two bars offer a full complement of cocktails and drinks. Raw Sunset Deck provides an excellent location for drinks as you watch the sunset over the Indian Ocean. There's also an underground wine cellar and the chance to dine in private 8 metres below the sea's surface.

There is an excellent choice of land and water sports available, including excellent snorkelling on the resorts house reef with a resident marine biologist on hand to help you discover the mysteries of the reef.  A traditional Dhoni is available to hire, allowing you to explore the local sandbanks or relax on a sunset cruise.  And for those who enjoy Spa treatments, the spa has one suite eight metres underwater.
