One of many the reasons why the Beachcomber hotels in Mauritius are so special for a family holiday is that they all offer a fantastic array of land and water sports, many of which are complimentary. You could venture beyond the resort and get your adrenaline pumping with a zip line adventure across stunning landscapes, or maybe you want to explore more of the island and get to know the culture? You won't want to miss Port Louis, so wander through the vibrant markets and meet the friendly locals. Nothing beats seeing dolphins in the wild, so for an unforgettable experience, take a boat trip and enjoy up close encounters. 

After all that exploring, head back to your hotel and we know you'll find it hard to choose between the wide selection of activities. But rest assured, the warm Indian Ocean waters of Mauritius are protected by a coral reef that keeps them safe and calm, perfect for young children and the ideal conditions for water sports. If you fancy exploring the vibrant underwater world, grab a snorkel and dive in with organised snorkelling trips and scuba diving tuition you'll have plenty of chances to spot close colourful marine life, but you can always take a glass bottom boat trip if you'd rather stay dry. With instructors on hand to teach most activities this is a great opportunity to learn new skills or perfect those you already have.

Perhaps after all that fun on the water, you feel its time to return to dry land, well you'll be happy to learn that each resort has a number of floodlit tennis courts, and all you'll have to pay for is tennis balls but we do suggest you take your own.  There's great golf at Paradis Golf Club, and for those who miss the gym, you'll find well equipped gyms at all of the Beachcomber Hotels except Canonnier. Why not try your hand at some Archery during your stay or hire some Mountain bikes to explore more of the island, one thing is for sure your family holiday in Mauritius will be non stop fun.
