Here's a few of the most common questions we get asked about our Mauritius family holidays, if you require any further information or help in planning your holiday do get in touch with our friendly and knowledgeable team.

As Mauritius is 4 hours ahead of the UK in our winter, 3 in our summer months and with the overnight flights jetlag is rarely a problem.

Air Mauritius
If travelling with children (11 and under) or in Business Class, we can pre-seat your tickets without charge. All other tickets can only be pre-seated without charge 30 hours prior to departure online with Air Mauritus. Pre-seating can be paid for in advance with Air Mauritius online.

Please note seats are only on a request basis and the airline reserves the right to change this at anytime up until check in.

British Airways
Seats can be pre-booked online 24 hours before your departure.

Emirates
Business and First Class tickets can be pre-seated withourt charge. Economy class tickets can be pre-seated with Emirates online 48 hours prior to departure. Pre-seating can be paid for in advance with Emirates online once your tickets have been issued.

There are no inoculations required for your Mauritius holiday.

We can only offer child seats on private transfers to your Mauritius hotel.

Interconnecting rooms for families with young children may be requested and confirmed subject to unforeseen circumstances

Yes, the restaurants at the Beachcomber hotels in Mauritius have high chairs. If your child is too big for a high chair cushions can be provided.

Yes the restaurants will all puree infants food.

Although you can buy baby formula in Mauritius it may be worth taking your own.

Take as many as you can in your luggage, additional supplies can be purchased in Mauritius although make sure you know your child's weight in Kilograms as they do not use pounds. Swimming nappies are also a good idea to take with you.

All of the Beachcomber hotels offer free children's clubs which are open to 3 to 11 year olds.

Children under 3 can attend the clubs but they must be accompanied by an adult or baby sitter.

Victoria Beachcomber, Canonnier Beachcomber and Trou aux Biches Beachcomber have teens clubs for ages 12-17 years.

Baby sitters cost approximately £5 per hour per child, sometimes less depending on the exchange rate. Baby sitters are booked through the mini club - 24 hours notice is required. Depending on hours worked the baby sitters transport may need to be paid for by guests. Please note you will need to pay for the babysitter in cash on the evening so if you are planning to have a babysitter throughout your stay remember to get enough currency to cover you!

If you are keen snorkelers then yes it is worth taking your own equipment with you.

All restaurants offer kids menus except the buffet restaurants where they always have something suitable for the children.
