Mauritius Honeymoons

FAQs

The main question for many people looking to arrange a honeymoon in Mauritius is 'Where do we start?'

A great place to start is with our FAQ section below. If you have any further questions just pick up the phone and talk to our experienced reservations team. Many of them have been through what you are going through now and know how important this decision is. They also have first hand knowledge of each and every one of the hotels we offer.

We would suggest that you book your Mauritius honeymoon as soon as you have your wedding date confirmed to avoid disappointment. If you’re getting married during our summer months or during school holidays these are very popular times to travel so we suggest to book early.

We are lucky enough to have a fantastic reservations team who have travelled to all of the Beachcomber hotels. We have over 32 years of experience building tailor made honeymoons. Booking a package through us means that we can organise everything for you and we will do all the running around to ensure you have the perfect honeymoon. We are also full bonded by ATOL and ABTA ensuring that your honeymoon money is in safe hands.

We have generous offers on your accommodation costs at all Beachcomber hotels. See our honeymoon special offers

All of our hotels in Mauritius will make your honeymoon extra special; from champagne to gifts, each hotel has something to offer. See what each hotel includes

Yes, if your guests call one of our reservations team and quote your unique booking number they can contribute payment towards your Mauritius honeymoon.

You can upgrade your flights to World Traveller Plus or Business Class, upgrade your room to a suite, indulge in spa treatments or upgrade to All-Inclusive. Or for something extra special ask the staff at your hotel to arrange a special candlelit dinner. Call our reservations staff on 01483 445 610 for prices.

Don’t leave it too late to check that your passports are valid.

For your honeymoon to Mauritius your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the date you are due to arrive back into the UK.

If you do have to get a new passport the Post Office offer a convenient fast renewal service or get hold of The Identity & Passport Service and ask about their Fast Track renewal service. The fast track services can turn around passports in 7 working days but for your piece of mind it’s best to renew them as soon as you can.

If you are thinking of travelling in your new married name make sure that not only your passport reflects your new name but also all of your bookings details, especially your flight details. You can change the name on your passport through The Identity & Passport Service up to 3 months before your wedding day.  Your old passport will be cancelled and a new ‘post-dated’ passport will be issued, meaning you can’t travel before the ceremony date itself.

Have a look at The Identity & Passport Service – who can apply for a new passport section for the details.  It may however be easier to get everything changed once you return from your honeymoon.

UK passport holders do not require a visa for Mauritius.  If you are travelling on a non-UK passport please get hold of your local consulate.
