Unlike other holiday destinations and hotels, at all of the Beachcomber hotels many of the land and water sports are free for guests - including waterskiing. Canonnier guests will also enjoy reduced green fees and VIP service at the brand new Mont Choisy Golf Course, the only course on the north west coast of Mauritius.
Residents of Canonnier Beachcomber have access to exclusive tee off times and reduced green fees at the new Mont Choisy Le Golf. The golf course is only a few minutes drive from Canonnier Beachcomber and transfers to and from Mont Choisy Le Golf are complimentary.
Canonnier offers 3 floodlit tennis courts (hard court, Head tennis racket hire is complimentary however tennis balls will need to be purchased), table tennis, volley ball, bocciball and archery which are all complimentary for guests. Mountain bikes are also available for hire.
The hotel has a small gym with a good but limited number cardio fitness machines.
Gentle, inviting waters make Mauritius a perfect destination for water activities - waterskiing, windsurfing, sailing, glass bottom boat trips, snorkelling trips, kayaks and pedal boats are all complimentary for guests. The hotel also offers free weekly group sailing and windsurfing lessons.
In season, Mauritius offers superb deep sea fishing. There is a fishing charter company in Black River in the south west of the island that we recommend. They offer half and full day trips on fully equipped specialist fishing boats. For more information on boats and prices, call or email us.
Le Canonnier has an on-site PADI affiliated Dive Centre with a comprehensive diving programme. There are a number of decent dive sites within 20 minutes boat ride of the hotel.
