The safari begins with a flight from Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park, taking approximately 45 minutes from Dar es Salaam. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your camp.
Nyerere National Park is home to elephants, hippos, crocodiles, antelopes and a variety of birdlife. Depending on the season and sightings, you may also encounter predators and other wildlife during your safari activities.
Your stay includes two shared game drives in an open safari vehicle with a guide, plus a choice of one boat safari or one walking safari, offering different ways to experience the park’s landscapes and wildlife.
You will stay at Rufiji River Camp, a riverside camp featuring classic safari tents beneath thatched roofs, en-suite bathrooms and private verandas overlooking the Rufiji River. The camp also has a swimming pool, restaurant and bar.
