Discover the Beaches of Seychelles
Every beach here has its own personality, some are lively and perfect for snorkelling or sunset cocktails, while others feel completely untouched and wonderfully secluded. We’ve rounded up some of our absolute favourites across the islands to help inspire your next Indian Ocean escape.
Anse Source d’Argent – La Digue
Anse Source d’Argent is every bit as stunning as people say, if not even better in real life. With its famous granite boulders, soft white sand, and calm turquoise lagoons, it’s easily one of the most iconic beaches in the world. The shallow, crystal-clear water makes it perfect for gentle swimming, while the incredible scenery creates endless photo opportunities at every turn.
Insider Tip
For that perfect Insta moment visit early in the morning or later in the afternoon for softer light and fewer visitors.
Petite Anse Bay – Mahé
Petite Anse Bay feels like one of those rare Seychelles beaches that still stays quiet and uncrowded. Tucked between green hills and rocky cliffs, it has a really peaceful, almost untouched feel to it, so you’re unlikely to be sharing it with big crowds. The sand is soft, the water is that bright turquoise you see in postcards, and everything just feels slow and relaxed. It’s the kind of place where you can easily spend a few hours swimming, walking the shoreline, or just sitting back and enjoying the fact it still feels so calm and private.
Insider tip
The waves can sometimes add a bit of energy and movement to the sea, so it’s always worth checking local swimming conditions before heading in to make the most of a safe and enjoyable swim.
Grand Anse Kerlan Beach – Praslin
Grand Anse Kerlan Beach is one of those beaches where everything just feels a bit slower and easier. It’s a long, quiet stretch of soft sand on Praslin, perfect if you just want to wander, sit by the water, or spend a laid-back day without much going on. The sunsets here are especially lovely, and there’s a real sense of calm that makes it great for couples or anyone who just wants some space and a bit of peace.
Insider Tip
Explore nearby nature trails and keep an eye out for native Seychelles birdlife.
When to Visit Seychelles
Seychelles is a year-round destination, but the best beach conditions are generally found during:
These months typically offer calmer seas, warm temperatures, and excellent visibility for snorkelling and diving.
Other beaches to fall in love with…

Anse Severe – La Digue
Anse Severe is the kind of beach that instantly slows you down. Just a short walk from La Digue’s main village, it’s peaceful, scenic, and perfect for an easy afternoon by the sea. The calm water and incredible sunsets make it one of our favourite spots on the island.

Beau Vallon Beach – Mahé
If you’re looking for that classic Seychelles beach atmosphere, Beau Vallon delivers. It’s one of the most popular beaches on Mahé, with gorgeous scenery, calm swimming conditions, watersports, and plenty of places nearby to eat, drink, and watch the sunset.

Baie Lazare – Mahé
Baie Lazare feels wonderfully relaxed and a little more hidden away. Surrounded by greenery and turquoise water, it’s the sort of place where you can spend hours swimming, snorkelling, or simply doing absolutely nothing.

Grande Anse – La Digue
Grande Anse has a completely different feel from some of Seychelles’ calmer beaches. It’s wild, dramatic, and incredibly beautiful, with rolling waves and wide open stretches of sand that feel wonderfully untouched.
