A New Chapter for Trou aux Biches Beachcomber

One of Mauritius’ most iconic resorts has entered an exciting new era. Following a four-month renovation programme, Trou aux Biches Beachcomber reopened on 15 October 2026, unveiling a collection of thoughtful enhancements designed to elevate the guest experience while staying true to the character that has defined the resort for more than five decades.

As the resort celebrates its 55th anniversary, the refurbishment focuses on refining some of its most loved spaces, blending contemporary design with the relaxed atmosphere that has long made Trou aux Biches a favourite with couples, families and repeat visitors alike.

Fresh Spaces, Familiar Charm

At the heart of the renovation is a complete transformation of L’Oasis, the resort’s lagoon-facing restaurant. The refreshed space now accommodates up to 450 guests, including 100 outdoor seats, creating an even more inviting setting to enjoy dining by the water’s edge.

Several accommodation categories have also been thoughtfully reimagined. The Beachfront Junior Suites, Beachfront Senior Suites and Garden Suites have been redesigned with contemporary tropical influences, featuring spacious terraces and a welcoming residential feel.

Guests will also discover a brand-new café serving coffee, crêpes and early breakfast options, ideal for a relaxed start to the day, while the resort boutique has been completely reinvented with a vintage-inspired concept showcasing local crafts, jewellery, fashion and gourmet products.

Looking Ahead

Beyond the aesthetic improvements, Beachcomber has continued its commitment to preserving the natural beauty of the destination. New coastal protection measures have been introduced to strengthen the shoreline and support the future of the beach that has become synonymous with the resort.

The reopening also marks the arrival of new General Manager Kervyn Rayeroux, ushering in the next chapter for the resort as it looks towards the future while celebrating a heritage that spans 55 years.

Still Trou aux Biches, Just Better

The beauty of this refurbishment lies in its balance. Rather than changing what guests love, the renovation enhances it, refreshing key spaces, introducing new experiences and creating an even stronger connection to the surroundings.

For returning guests, familiar favourites remain at the heart of the experience. For first-time visitors, there’s never been a better time to discover why Trou aux Biches Beachcomber continues to be one of Mauritius’ most celebrated beachfront resorts.
