Having heard so much about both resorts over the years, I was excited to see what makes them so special and whether they really live up to their reputation.

Constance Moofushi: Barefoot Luxury at its Best
There is something truly magical about Constance Moofushi. The island perfectly captures that laid-back, toes-in-the-sand Maldivian lifestyle while still delivering exceptional levels of service and luxury.
One of my standout experiences was the resort’s weekly wine tasting event. Tables are set up right in the shallow waters surrounding the island, creating one of the most unique settings I’ve ever experienced. As you sample a selection of wines, reef sharks glide through the crystal-clear water around you. It’s a simple concept, but one that’s incredibly memorable and showcases exactly why the Maldives is unlike anywhere else in the world.
Another highlight has to be the resort’s incredible Sand Villas. These villas have quite a unique story behind them. Over the years, natural sand movement created a new sandbank beneath one of the island’s jetties. Because the villas are no longer positioned directly over the water, they couldn’t technically be classed as overwater villas, leading to the creation of the now-famous Sand Villas.
And honestly… wow.
The sand beneath them is some of the whitest and softest I’ve ever seen. You feel completely immersed in the beach setting while still being just a few steps from the ocean. They offer something genuinely different and are easily one of the most unique accommodation options I’ve encountered in the Maldives.

Constance Halaveli: A Spectacular Step Up
After experiencing the relaxed charm of Moofushi, arriving at Constance Halaveli felt like moving into another level of luxury.
Everything here feels grander, from the striking overwater villa jetty stretching into the lagoon to the spacious accommodations and elevated dining experiences. The resort delivers a refined, sophisticated atmosphere while still maintaining the warmth and hospitality that Constance properties are known for.
Why a Twin-Centre Stay Makes Perfect Sense
One of the biggest takeaways from my trip was how well these two resorts complement each other.
In fact, if you’re considering visiting one of them, I’d strongly recommend experiencing both. The islands are only around 20 minutes apart by boat, and guests staying at either resort can easily arrange a day visit to the other island for lunch, sightseeing or simply a change of scenery.
My recommendation would be to start with Constance Moofushi and finish at Constance Halaveli. Moofushi’s relaxed barefoot atmosphere immediately helps you switch off and settle into island life, while Halaveli provides the perfect grand finale with its exceptional facilities and elevated luxury offering.
