The Maldives had been on my bucket list for years, so finally getting there and waking up to turquoise water, powder-soft sand and sunsets that look like postcards was a real pinch-me moment. I was very lucky to experience an educational trip with Beachcomber Tours and Stewart Travel, staying on three different islands, each offering something unique.

OBLU XPERIENCE Ailafushi
Our first stop was OBLU XPERIENCE Ailafushi, where I stayed in a Sunrise Water Villa.
The atmosphere was fantastic from the moment we arrived, and we had so much fun making the most of everything the resort had to offer, from kayaking and swimming to racing down the waterslides.
One of the highlights was dinner at Ylang-Ylang, where the food was superb and the service was exceptional. It was the perfect way to end a day in paradise.

OBLU Nature Helengeli
From there, we took a speedboat transfer to OBLU Nature Helengeli, where I stayed in a beautiful and spacious Deluxe Beach Villa.
Relaxing on the sea hammock with an Aperol in hand while taking in the views across the Indian Ocean was pure bliss. The setting was incredibly peaceful and offered a very different feel to our first island.
We also enjoyed a lovely dinner at Just Grill, which provided the perfect setting and atmosphere for a memorable evening.
Atmosphere Kanifushi
As the saying goes, keep the best for last, and that’s exactly what Atmosphere Kanifushi was.
A seaplane transfer took us from Malé to the stunning island, where we received the warmest welcome before being shown to our Beach Villa with Pool. Walking into the villa was one of the biggest wow moments of my entire trip. I knew this stay was going to be special, and it certainly lived up to expectations.
From welcoming cocktails at Pier Six to the best seafood platter I have ever tasted, Kanifushi had so much to offer. It really made you feel like island life was for you.
Cycling around the island, snorkelling in the crystal-clear waters and enjoying a relaxing massage with the sound of the waves in the background were all unforgettable experiences. I was also lucky enough to witness the release of baby sea turtles, which was a truly magical moment.

Not only did Atmosphere Kanifushi capture my heart, but the Maldives did too.
From breathtaking scenery and incredible resorts to unforgettable experiences and genuine hospitality, this was a destination that exceeded every expectation. It’s a place I will never forget and one I would return to in a heartbeat.
