Lee – Not Just Travel
My favourite Beachcomber resort must be Trou aux Biches. Every resort gives you that wow feeling when you first arrive but for me, this one still stands out. I first visited back in 2019 and felt exactly the same then as I do now. I just love everything about it – the layout of the resort, the long stretch of beautiful beach, and the calm, relaxed atmosphere throughout. It’s the kind of place where you can truly switch off. And then there’s the spa… absolutely incredible. So relaxing I actually fell asleep! To top it all off, the food is amazing too. For me, it’s the complete package.

It was wonderful to be able to experience all the resorts. They all had that wonderful Beachcomber personality and feel to them, but with subtle differences – particularly depending on their location. In terms of my favourite, it’s an easy choice. Paradis blew me away! That backdrop of Le Morne was such a ‘wow’ factor. I loved the long stretch of beach that seemed to go on forever. Walking down that gorgeous beach from Dinarobin to Paradis felt special and being able to use the facilities and restaurants of the 2 peninsula resorts opens up so much more in terms of experiences. They go hand in hand and work perfectly together.

It’s honestly so hard to choose a favourite Beachcomber resort, as they all offer something really special in their own way. If I had to narrow it down, I’d say it’s between Dinarobin and Trou aux Biches. Dinarobin completely won me over with its incredible views of Le Morne from the pool and that powder-soft white sand – it’s just stunning. The fact that you can also make use of the facilities at Paradis and there’s the le shuttle between is such a bonus and really adds to the overall experience. Trou aux Biches, on the other hand… wow. This property really stood out for its atmosphere. The Beachfront Suites with Pools are absolutely out of this world – you truly get the best of both worlds.
Suzanne Rowlands – Off Broadway Travel
We travelled from the north to the south of the island, visiting a fantastic range of Beachcomber properties, each with its own unique charm and appeal. It was such a valuable experience to see them all first hand. Three hotels really stood out to me, especially for their stunning beach locations, excellent sporting facilities, and beautifully appointed rooms. My absolute favourite was Trou Aux Biches, the grounds were immaculate, and the beach was simply breathtaking. It’s the kind of place you instantly fall in love with. I was also very impressed with Shandrani. It’s proximity to the airport is a huge advantage, especially after a long flight, and I really enjoyed staying in a ground floor room within the adults-only section, it felt peaceful, private, and incredibly relaxing. Victoria also left a strong impression on me. I particularly liked the intimacy of its adults-only section, which created a calm and exclusive atmosphere, perfect for those looking for a more peaceful escape.

My favourite Beachcomber resort was of course Royal Palm. I loved the ambience here, the luxury without being pretentious, the service really was next level! I knew I’d love it but I really was blown away when visiting here. The meal we had here was absolutely fantastic and the atmosphere in the bar is exactly how I like to spend my evenings on holiday, relaxing with some live music and excellent drinks after an incredible dinner.
