Family Adventures at Constance Ephelia

The Seychelles is often celebrated as a dreamy, romantic destination, ideal for honeymooners or couples marking a special occasion. But what about families? Can children be entertained while parents relax on the idyllic beaches? Karen Smith, Operations Manager and grandmother to a lively, almost two-year-old, visited Constance Ephelia to explore this very question.

The resort is located on Mahé, the main island, and even during the transfer I was struck by how lush and tropical the scenery is. I immediately felt excited to explore what Constance Ephelia could offer for younger guests.

Kids’ Activities at Constance Ephelia

Feeding Giant Tortoises

Finding activities for kids was easier than I expected. Like many resorts, there’s a kids club, but here it’s far from ordinary. Children can do all the usual fun activities like painting and sticking, but they can also feed giant tortoises, including one that’s over 100 years old! It’s a unique experience I’d never seen elsewhere.

Creative Fun and Outdoor Adventures

The resort encourages children to grow their own vegetables and herbs for the chef, play on wooden climbing frames made from local materials, and take nature walks through the mangrove forest. They can make pizzas, run relays, and even learn some gardening skills, activities that keep little ones busy while teaching them about sustainability.

Thrills for Older Kids

For children over eight, there are extra adventures like zip-lining through the forest or rock-climbing. These cost extra, but the memories they take home are worth every penny. And for younger kids needing a break, there’s even a cool car-shaped bed for an afternoon siesta a thoughtful touch I loved.

Family-Friendly Amenities

Packing for a family holiday can be stressful, but Constance Ephelia has it all covered. From beach toys to walkie-talkies, kids snorkelling equipment, buggies, and baby monitors, you don’t need to bring much. Inflatable unicorns? No problem, the resort shop has those too. Even jars of baby food are unnecessary, as the chef prepares fresh, delicious purees for little ones.

For children spending the day with Mum, Dad, or Granny, the resort’s beautiful beaches with soft powdery sand are perfect for paddling and watching fish swim around tiny toes. These simple pleasures are in abundance and truly make a family holiday relaxing and magical.

After a day of adventure, hungry kids and adults alike can enjoy the Cowboy buffet, live cooking stations, and pizza ovens, all of which are very popular. By the end of the day, even I was exhausted, and after a relaxing bubble bath, I fell into the comfiest bed and slept like a log.

If you’re looking for a family holiday that combines fun, comfort, and unforgettable experiences, I can wholeheartedly recommend Constance Ephelia in the Seychelles. The kids are entertained, the beaches are stunning, and the memories will last a lifetime.
